The Tribakeshwar Jyotirlinga is one of the 12. And the Kalaram Mandir which is in Panchvati which is dedicated to Lord Ram. The Kalaram Mandir is also quite significant to Ambedkar’s story. You should also visit the Godavari River. There’s a Ganesh Mandir along the river (but I can’t remember visiting that Mandir). There’s apparently one of the Shaktipeeths around 60km from Nashik too - the Shaptashrungi Devi Mandir. There’s also the Muktidham Mandir too.
I liked this post! Fun fact but Deolali was also the setting of the first four seasons of “It Ain't Half Hot Mum”.
Nashik is on my list of places to visit in India so I'd love to make a detour to see where the word “doolally” took it's root!
Ha! Amazing!
I have family in Nashik. You must go. It’s so beautiful. 🙏🏼
Btw, which is the main temple in Nashik? There's loads but I want to make sure I do a pilgrimage in the right place lol
